Signs cause confusion on the ferry route

The signs on Fährstraße in Hamm, which has been closed since July 8 due to construction work, are causing confusion. Cyclists in particular are unsure whether they are allowed to pass the roadworks.

However, the city of Hamm has clearly communicated that both cyclists and pedestrians can use the road along the construction site. The city has pointed out that the closure only affects the carriageway, while the footpath and cycle path remain accessible throughout. Additional signs will be put up to avoid any misunderstandings.

The closure of the important traffic axis between Heessen and the east of Hamm will remain in place until October.
