At the start of the summer vacation, there are some restrictions in the Auenpark in Hamm. The bare concrete wall on Münsterstraße and a construction site near the lock and rowing club are particularly noticeable.
One year after its opening, a construction site near the rowing club is obstructing the path along the Lippe beach. The work is a consequence of the flooding at the beginning of the year, which severely damaged the stilling basin. The repairs should be completed by the beginning of October.
The area on the Lippe beach damaged by the heavy rainfall in august 2023 should have already been repaired. However, due to the WSA construction site, this is expected to be delayed until September.
The concrete wall at the entrance to the Auenpark is to be converted into a bouldering wall. The city is in talks with specialist companies to complete the work soon. The costs amount to around 30,000 euros.
The yellow markings applied for the maxi run have hardly weathered despite the rain. The city is in contact with the manufacturer to solve the problem.
